Eva Mendes starts off 2009 by lighting up the cover of the January 2009 issue of Latina Magazine.

During the interview Mendes made her cinematic debut in Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror. Frank Miller, writer and director of Eva’s newest movie The Spirit, says the actress infused her character with “Cuban fire.”
