 Matt Damon has beaten the likes of Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp and Patrick Dempsey to be named number one in a list of sexiest men alive. 37-year-old actor, named the “sexiest man alive” by People magazine — the honor he said was a surprise to him, media reports said Thursday. In a letter by Damon published in the People’s annual issue, he said he was really shocked and happy, even blushed when he heard the news.

Matt Damon is honored with 2,343rd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles yesterday.
Speaking at a ceremony to mark the occasion, Damon said the event brought back memories of his years spent as a struggling actor-writer when he was living with close friend Ben Affleck.

Actors Matt Damon, Hugh Grant, and Thandie Newton have teamed up with Globe For Darfur to draw the public’s attention to the crisis in Darfur in far western Sudan.
The ads show they smashed a hourglass filled with fake blood, which is symbolic to prove that time is running out for refugees in the African region.
