| S | Zellweger Surprised by US/UK Culture |
Renee Zellweger was stunned when she first visited Britain, because she always presumed it was like the US. Although the two nations share the English language, the Texan star insists culturally they were nothing alike when she first arrived.
She says, “I didn’t realise how different the culture was until I went there for the first time to do Bridget Jones. We don’t speak the same language at all. We use words in a different way and culturally the English are very different. My friends might call me honest, but in England I felt completely inappropriate and gross… just grotesque a lot of the time. A loud-mouthed Texas girl.”

Judging by her latest public appearance, The 37-year-old actress has finally managed to get her figure precisely to her satisfaction.Whether this was the result of the latest brassiere technology or (whisper it) breast implants, it was the hot topic among the crowd at the Odeon in Leicester Square last night.Whatever the truth is, Miss Zellweger was only too pleased to pose for pictures on the red carpet. She did, however, get a little agitated at all the noise and asked the photographers not to shout.
Renee gained 20 pounds to play Bridget in the first two movies and perfected her English accent by using it on set even when she wasn’t filming.
