On Monday night, the HFPA presented the 2007 edition of the annual Golden Globe Awards and more than 50 Hollywood stars have been set as presenters at The Beverly Hilton.

The Golden Globe Awards are American awards for motion pictures and television programs, given out each year during a formal dinner.

Penelope Cruz isn’t upset that the rumours continue about her sexuality, partly because she continues to push them. The actress, who has been plagued with reports that she is actually a lesbian, has continued the rumours that there is something going on between her and her good friend Salma Hayek.

The two women have been close friends for nearly seven years, and the rumours that the two were more than friends grew at a recent press conference.

“I grabbed Salma’s ass just to keep things moving, because everyone was a little slow. And, of course, the energy changed when I did that,” Cruz said. The rumours of the affair are even bigger in Hayek’s home country of Mexico.

“There are magazine covers in Mexico describing us as these lesbians because of that. A lot of people were saying we were lovers,” Hayek said. Also adding to the confusion was Cruz recently admitting that her kiss with Charlize Theron in “Head in the Clouds” was her best on-screen kiss ever.

Last night, the Chateau Marmont in LA was crammed to the gills with beautiful women out to attend Dolce & Gabanna’s charity auction to raise awareness for The Art of Elysium. The event was hosted by Penelope Cruz and attended by much of young hot Hollywood.

As a non-profit organization (founded in 1997), The Art of Elysium encourages working actors, artists and musicians to voluntarily dedicate their time and talent to children who are battling serious medical conditions. They provide artistic workshops in the following disciplines: acting, art, comedy, fashion, music, radio, songwriting and creative writing.
