On Thursday night at Beverly Hills, the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style bestowed double honors to the House of Versace with the recognition of Gianni and Donatella Versace for their contributions to the worlds of fashion and entertainment.

Wednesday night, Sharon Stone picked up a decidedly more laudable award for her long-term charity work on behalf of amfAR, which supports AIDS research and prevention.

I’ve been doing it 11 years,” Stone said. The star received the inaugural Roy London Award, which is named after her late acting coach. “I feel very emotional about it,” Stone said. “I had a big crying breakdown in the tub an hour ago.”

The award was presented at a star-studded amfAR gala at Cipriani, with Richard Gere, Woody Allen and Beyoncé Knowles also in attendance. The Dreamgirls star was happy to be there, and said she: “Young people need to have awareness of this disease.”

Last night, the Chateau Marmont in LA was crammed to the gills with beautiful women out to attend Dolce & Gabanna’s charity auction to raise awareness for The Art of Elysium. The event was hosted by Penelope Cruz and attended by much of young hot Hollywood.

As a non-profit organization (founded in 1997), The Art of Elysium encourages working actors, artists and musicians to voluntarily dedicate their time and talent to children who are battling serious medical conditions. They provide artistic workshops in the following disciplines: acting, art, comedy, fashion, music, radio, songwriting and creative writing.

Hollywood actress Sharon Stone has managed to get on the wrong side of Norway’s royal family during a trip to Oslo.The Basic Instinct star was due to host a banquet which was held in honour of winners of the Nobel Peace Prize.Norwegians are famously punctual and it is customary for royalty to be the last to arrive at any event.However, Stone apparently is not up on her royal etiquette and turned up at the banquet well after King Harald and Queen Sonja.

Guests were even specifically asked to arrive well before proceedings began so that they would be in place when the royals arrived.

‘When the king is invited to such an event, guests need to have a very good reason for arriving after he does,’ Carl-Erik Grimstad, a former palace official, told Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten.

‘I’m sure that if she didn’t have a good reason, she’ll be sorry about it. But when that’s said, I would think the king will be fairly relaxed about her blunder.’

Sharon Stone’s choice of clothes during her trip has also courted controversy after blogging website Perezhilton.com reported that she was seen buying and wearing fur.
